It is the greatest sadness of her life. I just don't want to jump to conclusions and am trying to prepare myself for a new normal. I love my non-member husband of nearly 20 years.
He might be a doc by day but when he's not at the hospital he's a regular guy just like anyone else. She might not be keeping the Word of Wisdom, living according to the Law of Chastity, or attending church regularly. If you care about him, you'll be super understanding, maybe take lunch to him or dinner to the hospital A quick kiss and a thank you may be all you will be able to get. I know you got a zillion replies, and I have not read them. And if you do belong to a ward full of cretins, you must do everyone a favor and just ignore them until they go extinct. What about the folks at church. Ultimately we broke up. It's been really helpful already.
